Itended Use
For the in vitro quantitative detection of Amyloid Beta 1–40 (Aβ 1–40) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and related liquid samples. |
Principle
This kit utilizes a double-antibody sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Samples, standards, and biotinylated detection antibodies are added sequentially to microwells pre-coated with mouse Aβ 1-40 capture antibodies. After incubation and thorough washing, TMB substrate is added for color development. Under the catalysis of peroxidase, TMB turns blue and eventually converts to yellow upon the addition of acid. The intensity of the color is positively correlated with the concentration of mouse Aβ 1-40 in the sample. Absorbance (OD value) is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm using a microplate reader to calculate the sample concentration. |
